I love music and you will never find me without a song playing in the background. Whether, it’s in the car or in my room, working on laptop or in the bathroom, I always have music in the air. The worst was when I was in school. I used to do my homework with music and my Dad used to get furious at that!
Anyway, although I love music, it doesn’t mean I’m good at it. I can’t sing if my life depended on it. I croak like a frog, have no sense of tune and couldn’t sing to save my life. Probably, that’s why I admire the people who can sing and have a natural talent or gift.
My cousin has recently started taking bass lessons. He wants to learn how to play the electric bass and for the last two months he was on a search mission for a good teacher. Finally, just last week, he found a very nice and decent gentleman, who will now come to teach him three times a week.
I asked him the reason why he wanted to learn this particular instrument. He replied that it fascinated him and he had always been attracted to it. He thinks he can be really good at it and wants to give it a shot. Actually, he also sings quite well and has a deep, throaty kind of voice, like Bryan Adams. So, I guess if he can learn how to play and sing along with it, he can become quite a star!!!
He’s only 15 years old, so he has ample time to practice and make something out of this. Although, music lessons are pretty expensive but, my aunt can see the talent in her son and is willing to dig into her savings if it means that he can really accomplish something.
